If you are looking for a fall or holiday candy bar that is homemade, look no further!  These pecan bars are absolutely delicious.  It's hard to resist caramel, chocolate, and pecans.  Also, the crust is a delicious shortbread that compliments the other flavors perfectly!  I got this wonderful recipe from the 2000 issue of Land O Lakes: Top 50

I've made these bars multiple times, and I can say with certainty that with a few simple ingredients you will have a mouthwatering treat.  If you make these bars for friends and family, be prepared to get recipe requests.  With Christmas soon to be upon us and holiday baking soon to begin, make sure to have these yummy bars on the baking list.  They most definitely will delight!

Bon Appetit!

Tips:

Pecans are the stars of this cookie bar, but by all means, have fun and try a different nut or combination of nuts.

Preparation time is 30 minutes.  Baking time is 18 to 22 minutes.

Aren't these caramel apple cats adorable?  I'm smitten!  These Halloween-inspired caramel apples are a delight to the eyes and to those with a sweet tooth!  I'm not a confidant food decorator, but I found these caramel apples easy to make - even the youngest can help decorate these spooky kitty-cats.  All you need is a few special ingredients.  Just for reference, I got this recipe from the autumn 2017 issue of Celebrate! with Woman's World.  Happy Halloween everyone!

Bon Appetit!

Tips:

You may need to warm up the caramel in-between dipping the apples.

A toothpick may help with the decorating of the cat ears.

Have an extra chocolate candy bar on hand - you may need it because of breakage.

Total Time is 45 minutes.

  • 4 to 5 apples at room temperature, stems removed

  • 3 packages (4.51 ounces each) Werther's Cocoa Crème soft caramels

Pumpkin lattes are one of the things I love about autumn.  American coffee lovers look forward to this seasonal treat each year.  I found this recipe in the September 26, 2016 issue of People magazine.  The recipe is by Jeni Brittan Bauer.  You can save some serious money by making these lattes at home as well as impress friends and family with your barista coffee house talent.  With the falling leaves and crisp autumn nip in the air, you now have a good excuse to indulge your sweet tooth with caramel pumpkin spice lattes.

Bon Appetit!

Tips:

If you live in a part of the world that does not have pumpkin flavored ice cream, you don't need to worry!  You can use a rich vanilla ice cream (or whatever you ice cream you think might work) and make your own pumpkin-pie spice by mixing the following spices together: 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, and 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger.

Latte preparation time is 5 minutes.  Whip cream p...
