I can definitely say that these little chocolates are heavenly. If you want to impress friends and family with a gourmet tasting truffle, I recommend you make these chai chocolates. As an extra bonus, they are easy to prepare, and they keep in the refrigerator for 2 weeks! I enjoy these little desserts while sipping coffee (but I imagine that they also would be delightful with chai tea) as the hot liquid melts the chocolate and the spices onto my tongue. This is a delicious and lovely fall cake that features pears. Upside-down cakes are wonderful, because they are very easy to make and at the same time look like they were made by a master chef. One of the ingredients that sets this cake apart is the addition of cardamom. If you have never used cardamom in a recipe before, I encourage you to give this recipe a chance as the cardamom in it is subtle but really enhances the flavor of the cake. This pie is my husband's favorite pie, and every year during October, he starts hinting about pecan pie. I have been making this pie for at least 25 years now, and it is truly a winner. There is nothing fancy about this pie. It's just straight up pecan pie, simplicity at its best, but that is one of the reasons it is so good! For those who must have chocolate added to their pie - simply melt a 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips with the butter mixture.

I made this flavorful dish for the first time last week. It was so delicious that I had to include the recipe in my blog. I found this gem in the May 2017 edition of Southern Living Magazine. The one pound of multicolored sweet peppers really caught my eye. You see...I have a garden full of sweet peppers, and I am constantly looking for ways to use them in recipes. This recipe is yummy and also lets me use peppers from my garden. As a bonus, I also love pasta. It seemed the perfect recipe for me. I hope you enjoy it just as much as I do!

I got this wonderful recipe from the Farm to Table cookbook. It is the perfect recipe to use up garden tomatoes. The red peppers, chives, and thyme also add an incredible amount of flavor to this quiche. Topped off with ricotta and parmesan cheese, this quiche tastes just perfect! Another great thing about this recipe is that it uses puff pastry which makes this quiche extra easy to prepare. I hope you enjoy this last taste of summer! I could not find a puff pastry that exact weight, so I used Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets. It comes with two pastry sheets. Two pastry sheets equal 17.3 ounces (1.1 pounds). Lay one sheet on top of another, and with a rolling pin, roll the pastries out. It came out perfectly.

Here is another great recipe from Ina Garten. This risotto is crazy easy to prepare! All you do is toss the ingredients together in a pot and bake it all in the oven. This awesome recipe comes from her Barefoot Contessa: how easy is that? cookbook. If you ever made risotto the traditional way, you will be amazed at how easy this risotto is to make! I love this recipe for so many reasons. For one, it is delicious. Two - it frees up your time, so you can focus on the main meal. This dish goes wonderfully with the scallops Provençal from an earlier post, but feel free to add it to any main meal. This recipe comes from Nigella Lawson, and it is truly delicious! This baked egg and potato hash makes a lovely dish for breakfast or brunch. I admit that before this recipe I'd never made eggs like this, but I always appreciate new ways to cook something! Try adding some fresh fruit or muffins to add some variety to your meal (I have a number of recipes on this blog if you need ideas).
I found Sriracha sauce to compliment this dish, but you can use whatever hot sauce you prefer for extra flavor.
